Summer 05 Trip

My sister Jane and her husband Miles are building a new

house next to Dad's place.  It is going to be wonderful.

The Fireplace and adjacent windows will be

spectacular at Christmas.

Dad built the Wrought Iron railing.  There is another whole section that runs along the stairway. It is removed in the picture so Miles can install the stair treads.

A pine top to the railing will be installed next-also built by Dad.

I built a 64" x 18" x 1.5" Counter top for the end of the kitchen.

The counter is Solid Hickory with Walnut inlay

Jane and Miles have been doing much of the work themselves. Jane spent many hours "pineing"  the paneling for the inside of the house.
