Lining up the bottom part of the circle.
The circle is off-set 1/4" from the "U".
The lower section of the circle is screwed/doweled and glued to the "U". The upper circle section is out of the form and now I use a cross section trimmed from it to layout it's position.
Once I'm satisfied the upper and lower circle sections are laid out in contiguous lines, I mark the underside of the cross-section in position.
I trimmed the cross-section which is now the proper arc for marking the upper section.
I set the upper section on the miter gauge and trim it on the table saw.
