I finally have a couple progress shots-Not a lot of detail showing here but I have the upper and lower case frames all glued together as well as the upper door frame-(That holds the Stained Glass window) all glued together.

I also have some of the veneering for the panels underway- Here is one side in the vacuum press.

The main woodworking is nearing completion. I'll try to get some pictures loaded in the next couple of days. I have also been working on the Brass Pulls for the Doors.
I think the lower two doors should have pulls with a single flower. I think this will be a more balanced look.
I made these  versions using a pointed carbide cutting tool in a hand held Dremel.
So I took the same pointed bit and put it in a milling machine in attempt to make a more detailed cut. The tip broke off in this operation (This picture shows the broken tip-although it is back in the Dremel)
Next I put a 3/32 end mill in the milling machine and attempted to mill out deeper grooves. Even this operation caused the tip to break.
This is what i was getting when the end mill broke
So I am not sure where to go from here- I haven't touched the doubled ended piece that goes on the Stained Glass Door
..... or the other single pull that goes on one of the lower case doors- I could just make another single pull in the same style-
you asked about a more of a cut out look...
Maybe just make the pulls without the lines cut/etched into them?
