Woodward Woodworks
These are veneered in Hot Mottled Makore.  The new piece is made from walnut so I will veneer over these with a Walnut veneer.
The panels are made from 6 plys of 1/16th poplar then the face veneer. I glued them up in a form placed inside a vacuum press.
The new walnut veneers will have a maple inlay.
Into the bag they go.........
Out of the bag they look a bit bedraggled but after a day to dry off- the surface glue (liquid hide glue) will get  sanded and scraped off.
We'll get back these later- for now we turn to the turned and fluted legs....
I made a jig for fluting these legs. A complete set of photois can be seen
HERE

Other wise it looks like this:
One Turned and Fluted Leg. Three to go....
All four turned and fluted.....
As frequently happens, I have started photo and text documentation several steps into the project. But lets see if we can catch up.  The driving design force behind this piece are the double curved front corner pieces. I had  two pieces  left over from the
2006 Double Curved Corner Cabinet
