An early Sheet Music Cabinet in Poplar,Birch and Mahogany
This is a music cabinet I built in June 2014 for a long time friend.
Two Music Cabinets finished in December 2014
"C Clef" and "Art Deco"
Versions of these Sheet Music Cabinets can be found "Coast to Coast" and "Border to Border" with pieces in Long Island,NY-Rugby, ND-Scottsdale Az- and Camden Park Ca.
These Twin Music Stands were designed to adorn the new
Shigeru Kawai semi-concert grand Piano for the
Salmagundi Club of New York.
This cabinet in Cherry was completed in October 2016 for a couple in Washington D.C. The case is designed around a stained glass panel that the clients acquired and wanted to implement in the design. The upper case will hold audio components and the lower case will hold DVD's and CD's accessed by three drawers on extension slides.
This is a pair of music stands completed in June 2018. The stands are a variation of the 2015 "Mancini" Music Stands built for the Salmagundi Club of New York City. These new stands feature an improved Desk Angle Adjustment Mechanism-designed by my father-Roland Young
I am currently taking orders from clients interested in this new music stand design.

Sheet Music Cabinet no 9 is the fourth music cabinet and fifth commission from my college friend Galen.

The cabinet features the "Maria" Theme from West Side Story and Oboe silhouette as his daughter is named Maria and she plays the Oboe.
Materials-solid Cherry and Maple, veneers of Sapele, Anigre and Cherry.
hand made Brass hardware
This Music Stand was designed to hold the score to the opera "Cyrano" composed by the late David DiChiera. DiChiera was an American composer and founding general director of Michigan Opera Theatre.
Although built as a bookcase-this Art Deco Case Piece can also be used to store sheet music.
